Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) invites Online Applications for the recruitment of Assistant Director and Dental Surgeon Vacancies. Name of the post :

1. Assistant Director in Agriculture : 49 posts

2. Dental Surgeon : 24 posts


Qualifications: Candidates must possess degree in agriculture for post no.1 and BDS degree from recognized university / institute or its equivalent qualification recognized by Dental Council of India and MDS degree with knowledge of Gujarati and / or Hindi.

Age limit: Candidates age should not be more than 31 years for post no.1 and not be more than 40 years for
post no.2

Application fee : Rs. 127/- (including post charge Rs. 27/-) and candidates of reserved category are exempted from application fee but they should have to pay Rs. 15/- as postal charges.
Selection Process : Selection will be made on the basis of performance in preliminary test and personal interview.

How to Apply : Candidates are required to apply online through http://ojas.guj.nic.in under “Online Apply” link from 24.05.2013 to 08.06.2013.

General Instructions:

1. The Unreserved / General Candidates shall require to pay the examination fee as mentioned in the advertisement. Examination fee may be paid in cash in person along with the application form at the counter of the office of the Commission or by the crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in the favour of “The Secretary, Gujarat Public Service Commission, Ahmedabad – 380001.”
2. The examination fee shall not be accepted in the form of postal stamps or by money order or in any other form. Once the application is received by the Commission, no request for refund of the fee shall be entertained nor shall this fee be kept reserved for any other examination or selection.
3. Ex-servicemen who have retired after the completion of their general services in the armed forces and those who are eligible to appear at the competitive examination for the posts of Class-III, are exempted from payment of the application form fee and examination fee, but they are not eligible to get such exemption from the competitive examination of class-I and Class-II posts.
4. The relaxation in the upper age limit is available as per the details shown in the advertisement published by the Commission. The following relaxation shall be available as per the existing provisions
5. The woman candidates of the reserved category shall be granted the relaxation of ten years in the upper age limit, subject to maximum age limit of 45 years. The woman candidates of general category shall be granted the relaxation of five years in the upper age limit, subject to maximum age limit of 45 years.
6. The age relaxation of five years in competitive examinations for Class-I and Class-II posts, shall be available to Commissioned Officers including Ex-serviceman/ ECO
7. The Government Servants shall not be eligible to get the relaxation in the upper age limit. The Commission consider the S.S.C.E. certificate only as the evidence of birth date.
8. The candidates belonging to S.C., S.T. and S. & E.B.C. shall have to produce the self attested copy of the caste certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed form in accordance with prevalent rules along with the application.
